Welcome to the 2008 Metro United College Showcase. The 11th Annual event will be more competitive than ever as the Showcase continues to grow in reputation and popularity. The Metro United College Showcase attracts the premier Region II clubs along with some welcomed variety from outside the region. This year’s event will be held March 21 and 22 - which is Good Friday and Easter Saturday for the first time to accomodate USSF Academy clubs - in the Southern Illinois communities of Collinsville and Belleville. For the past 10 years, some of the best U15 – U18 Boys teams have visited our beautiful complex for the Showcase. Traditionally, the Showcase attracts Region II powers Chicago Magic, Sockers FC, St. Louis SC, Scott Gallagher, Wolves, VardarStars, FC Milwaukee, Yahara, KC Legends, KCFC, Javanon to name a few. From outside the region we have entertained Alto Loma Arsenal, NOSA, Hurricanes SC, …who make this a remarkable event.

UPDATE - March 20, 2008!
ALL GAMES AT FAMILY SPORTSPLEX #1 and #2 have moved due to standing water on the fields. All games on FSP #1 will be moved to SWIC #8 and all games at FSP #2 will be moved to SWIC #9. All games times will remain the same.

All brackets play 3 games. We will crown the Champion of each group based on the 1st Place placement game but no trophy is awarded. All games are full-length, the U15/U16 age groups play 2 x 40 and the older boys play 2 x 45. The U15 and U16 age brackets play in Belleville and the U17 and U18 Boys will play in Collinsville.

College coaches of all divisions and various parts of the country attend the event. We have had representatives from Big 10, PAC 10, Missouri Valley, ACC, Ivy League, Great Lakes, etc. Yearly we host St. Louis University, Drake University, Indiana, Michigan, SIUE, Bradley, Kentucky, Centre College, Washington University, etc. At last year’s Showcase, the Metro United Complex was literally bursting at the seams as 112 men’s colleges were represented. We provide them with profiles of all players, food and drink while at the fields.
